Emily Wallace is a passionate textile artisan and fiber arts instructor based in Studio 311 at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment in North Alabama. Dedicated to preserving traditional crafts, she creates unique handwoven pieces using locally sourced fibers. Her expertise includes weaving, dyeing, spinning, and processing raw fibers, reflecting a deep commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.
Emily also stewards a small flock of Gulf Coast Native Sheep, a rare Southern conservation breed. By integrating sustainable practices, she honors the region’s fiber heritage while promoting environmental and cultural preservation.
She offers private and small group classes year-round, teaching weaving, yarn and fiber dyeing, Shibori dyeing, spinning (wheel and drop spindle), raw fleece processing, knitting, and crochet. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, Emily’s personalized approach fosters creativity and a deeper connection to fiber arts.
